Kibbles of Kindness

Meals on Wheels currently serves over 500,000 meals a year to seniors in western South Dakota - human meals, that is. 

We found some seniors were struggling to afford pet food and were sharing their Meals with their beloved pets.

Through the generous support of the community, we have been able to help these seniors by collecting donations of prepackaged and unopened pet foods and supplies.

Studies show that owning and handling animals significantly benefits health and wellness in the senior population.

Seniors rely on their pets for the emotional support, love, and companionship they provide.

How do I sign up?

Currently, the Kibbles of Kindness program is only available for active Meals on Wheels participants in specific areas.

Consult your local meal site manager to discuss if this an option for you and your pets.

Can I donate to Kibbles of Kindness?

- Yes!

We ask that all cat and dog food donations come in their original and unopened packaging and are under 25lbs for the safety of volunteers and seniors.
